I know “nervous system regulation” can sound like a pure abstraction, like something that requires a certification or a whole protocol. The name is terrible. |

Think about how you'd treat someone you really loved who was exhausted and overwhelmed. You wouldn't push them harder. You'd make sure they ate well, rested as much as they needed, and felt cared for and heard. You'd be gentle with them. You'd speak sweetly to them. You'd share your appreciation for them, just as they are, without asking for more or different. |
Here’s what I know: doing that for myself has been monumental. |
I encourage you to train yourself to treat your body like your baby. Care for it and talk to it as such. Make “my body, my baby,” your cause, your priority, your mission. That's how you feel good, and how you age better and get healthier (fyi: research from Harvard Medical School backs this up). It's also what you radiate out into the world. And that love and care? It's what radiates back to and through you. |
You cannot thrive when you are disconnected from your body. You cannot be truly self-confident when you're disconnected from your body. When you resent and reject your body, you pay a GIANT price. |
Bad sleep, eating poorly, isolating yourself from people. If this is you right now, I see you. |
Your body isn't betraying you. It's talking to you, sending signals from a nervous system that's been running on empty for too long. |
Please listen to it. Not with judgment, but with the same gentleness you'd give someone you love who was struggling and deserved your care. |
The gentler you are with yourself, the more your nervous system trusts that it's safe to relax and be truly present. |
It all starts in your body. You can't think your way to wholeness, to emotional healing, to freedom, or to sovereignty. You must regulate your nervous system and rewire your belief system, both of which require your body. |
