"Our street just got a little longer," Sesame Street shared on social media last week. But the iconic PBS series didn't mean that additional bricks have been laid on the fictional block — it meant that over 100 full episodes of the show are now available to watch for free on YouTube for the first time. The collection, which makes YouTube the largest digital library of Sesame Street content, features recent episodes as well as some historic ones, like the 1969 premiere (check that out here).

Tiny Changes in Diet, Exercise, and Sleep Could Extend Your Lifespan, Study Finds

You don't necessarily have to hit the gym every day, eat kale at every meal, or get eight hours of sleep every night to make a difference in your health — taking baby steps in all three areas may still move you forward. A study found that, in combination, eating just a few more veggies, spending a little more time snoozing, and getting a couple more minutes of exercise each day were associated with longer life and better health for people with poor health habits. "These findings highlight the importance of considering lifestyle behaviors as a package rather than in isolation," lead study author Nick Koemel, a dietitian and research fellow at the University of Sydney, told CNN. "By targeting small improvements across multiple behaviors simultaneously, the required change for any single behavior is substantially reduced, which may help overcome common barriers to long-term behavior change." Dig into the specific findings.

NASA's Artemis II Moon Mission Readies for Takeoff With Rocket Rollout

We are T-minus 16 days until the launch window begins for the Artemis II mission that will send four astronauts to the moon (more specifically, around it). And it's starting to feel very real, as the rocket set to propel the historic journey was rolled out to the launch pad over the weekend. "These are the kinda days we live for," John Honeycutt, chair of the Artemis II mission management team, said during a press conference before the rollout. "It really doesn't get much better than this." Getting the rocket to the pad was a journey in itself. The 322-foot-tall, 11 million-pound Space Launch System took nearly 12 hours to travel 4 miles from Kennedy Space Center's Vehicle Assembly Building to Launch Complex 39B, atop a crawler-transporter that moved at about 1 mile per hour. Next on the agenda is a "wet dress rehearsal" no later than Feb. 2, when teams will load the vehicle and run through launch-day procedures. If all goes well, the closeout crew will complete final launch preparations on Feb. 6 — and we'll be waiting to hear those three thrilling words: "Ready for takeoff." Meet the moonbound astronauts.

There May Be a Surprising Climate Solution Hiding in Your Home
Ana-O/iStock
A secret weapon in the fight against climate change might be right under your nose. That's according to a recent NPR story on the hidden potential in everyday household "sludge" — aka the slimy buildup often found in showerheads, drip pans, and water heaters. These microbes may be unpleasant to look at (or even think about), but microbiologist Braden Tierney explained that the "little alchemists" are capable of capturing carbon along with other chemicals. So to tap into this potential, Tierney and a fellow scientist launched a nonprofit to find microbes in people's homes and identify any that could be harnessed to soak up substances harmful to the planet, or, alternatively, to harvest critical metals. Among their findings was a microbe they dubbed "Chonkus," which absorbed carbon at rates that could be scaled up to remove "large amounts" from the air. Listen to the full report.

Underdogs no more
Homefield Apparel started as a self-deprecating clothing line poking fun at the Indiana University Hoosiers' status as chronic football underdogs. But not only has the clothing brand taken off — so have the Hoosiers, completing an undefeated season and winning the National Championship on Monday. "It's such a turn of fate. I've been very grateful for every step of it," said co-founder Connor Hitchcock.
