René De Silvestro has won Silver at the Milano Cortina Paralympic Games in the Alpine SuperCombined sitting category. Racing on home snow in Cortina d'Ampezzo, René delivered a powerful and composed performance in one of the most demanding formats in Para Alpine skiing. The result adds another milestone to a career that already includes Paralympic medals, World Championship titles, and overall World Cup victories, confirming his place among the leading athletes in the sport. Eight years ago we produced a short film with René when he was only three years into his sit-ski career and preparing for his first Paralympic Games. Watching that story today makes this moment even more meaningful. From the early days captured in that film to a Paralympic podium on home snow, René's journey has always been defined by determination, resilience, and passion for the sport. In the blog post we look back at that journey and revisit the original film.
