Fresh Geo-magnetic Data At (Nasdaq: USAU) Points To Targets Beyond The Current Pit

August 3rd Greetings, Friend!
Something quiet has been building in southeast Wyoming.
In late June 2026, U.S. Gold Corp. (Nasdaq: USAU) released results from a freshly completed geo-magnetic survey across its flagship project -- and what Zonge International's drone-mounted magnetometer uncovered across 325 line-kilometers of terrain has the company's exploration team energized and drilling plans already in motion.
The data, now being interpreted by Wright Geophysics, confirms that mineralized structures extend well beyond the boundaries of the current proposed pit, signaling a potential resource expansion that adds a new dimension to an already compelling development story.
The Company's VP of Exploration, Kevin Francis, put it plainly in the company's press release:
"We are excited to see the additional anomalies similar to the historical Copper King Mine. We expect this information will lead to new exploration efforts to test these anomalous target areas."
A gravity survey by Zonge was also scheduled for late July across the same acreage -- the next data layer that will sharpen the company's understanding of what lies beneath the surface.
What makes this moment significant is context.
The CK Gold Project is not a speculative concept waiting on permits or engineering studies. It is fully permitted, has a completed feasibility study in hand, and the mine access road construction was initiated in January 2026.
The exploration activity now underway is incremental upside layered onto a project that has already cleared the development gauntlet.
Company CEO, George Bee, framed it succinctly:
"With the initial CK ... Project Feasibility Study now published and our fully permitted project moving to development, we can now turn attention to both the potential to expand the pit into known mineralization and to explore into areas of former mining of high-grade ore conducted by the original developers of the Silver Crown Mining District."
The feasibility study itself, completed by Halyard-Micon International, delivers numbers that command serious attention.
At base-case metal prices of $3,250/oz go-ld, $4.50/lb copper, and $40/oz silver, the project carries an after-tax NPV(5%) of $632Mn against an initial capital requirement of $394Mn -- a 1.6x NPV-to-capex ratio with a 2.5-year payback and a 27% internal rate of return.
All of this is unfolding against a market that has fundamentally reset higher.
The yellow metal surpassed $5,500 per ounce intraday in January 2026, and per analysis, the bull market remains structurally intact -- supported by central bank accumulation, de-dollarization trends, and persistent macro uncertainty.
Mining equities are described as being in "catch-up mode" relative to the physical metal, with record cash flows now in play across the sector. |
