May is National Foster Care Awareness Month, and the incredible nonprofit we're spotlighting today helps young people set themselves up for success when they transition out of the foster care system. A Sense of Home transforms empty dwellings into cozy, fully furnished homes using donated furniture. "A space does not function like a home unless it has all of the equipment within it that makes a space a home," founder Georgie Smith tells Nice News, adding: "The furniture and home goods are really the tool kit for one being able to manage and organize their life." Watch recipients see their new spaces for the first time and learn how to get involved from afar by creating "welcome home" kits.

With Donated Furniture, Nonprofit Provides "A Sense of Home" for Foster Youth Living on Their Own
Around 50% of youth transitioning out of foster care wind up unhoused or incarcerated — A Sense of Home is on a mission to change that.
Homebuilding's easy when you're playing with blocks; just snap pieces together and you're done. Unfortunately, real construction historically hasn't worked the same way — but BOXABL plans to change that. Founded by an award-winning designer and his tech entrepreneur son, the company turns home construction from complicated to elementary. New homes roll off their assembly lines in hours, equipped with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and all. Buyers want them, too: Over 600 have been built and delivered already. Now, BOXABL is preparing for Phase 2, where planned modules connect to create larger homes and apartments. In other words, meeting demand in the $5 trillion home construction industry could get a lot easier. And for a limited time, you can get involved with BOXABL as an investor for just $0.80/share.
