There's a difference between being alone and being lonely — in fact, getting comfortable with the former can actually boost your well-being. "You're breaking outside of your comfort zone," therapist Jessica Gaddy explained to Time. "That grows your capacity to take on other challenges in your day-to-day life." But not everyone is at ease doing things like dining as a party of one or going to the movies solo; read the outlet's tips on mastering the art of spending time with yourself.
Lost Tina Turner Song Found Ahead of Album Re-Release
Tina Turner died two years ago, but the Queen of Rock 'n' Roll's iconic tunes continue to live on — including one even her biggest fans may not have heard yet. After it was believed to have been missing in action for decades, a previously unreleased song titled "Hot For You Baby" debuted Thursday on BBC Radio 2. The track was originally cut from Turner's chart-topping 1984 album Private Dancer to make room for mega-hits like "What's Love Got to Do With It." Complete with an electric guitar solo and showcasing Turner's signature raspy voice, the upbeat tune is a real toe-tapper. It was rediscovered by her record label during the process of compiling a five-disc, 40th anniversary re-release of the album, out March 21. "To have something new to hear from Tina Turner is a treat for fans of all generations and a reminder of her unique talent," said Radio 2 host Mark Goodier. "I'm lucky enough to have both interviewed Tina and seen her perform live. She was an outrageously good performer and at the same time a remarkable graceful lady, whose every note was shaped by her incredible life." Listen to the newly discovered tune.

This Australia Beach Town Looks Straight Out of "Jurassic Park"
Tomorrow is Australia Day, so we've got a fitting story to honor the occasion a little early. Surrounded by jungle-like forests, picturesque waterways, and turquoise-green coastlines is a place that looks a lot like the lush tropical settings of the Jurassic Park films. Hat Head in New South Wales is a quiet beachside community that offers adventure at every turn. One could imagine the quiet beach town, located along the Macleay Valley Coast just over 280 miles north of Sydney, as home to wandering Tyrannosaurus rex and velociraptors, but (thankfully!), it's a dinosaur-free destination that serves as the perfect spot for swimming, hiking, and "bushwalking," and is especially popular among those who might want to experience natural, less-tamed landscapes. At Hat Head National Park, travelers can pick their own adventure, from rain forests, sand dunes, and wetlands to hilltops with sweeping views of the ocean. The park suffered a damaging bushfire in October 2023, but the region has since rebounded — and just might earn a top spot on your summer vacation bucket list.

Why Driving With Lyft Is the Side Hustle Women Shouldn't Be Sleeping On
Let's be real: There are few among us who couldn't benefit from a little side income, whether the extra dough goes toward paying for essentials or funding a passion project without dipping into savings. Which is why now's as good a time as any to consider becoming a driver with Lyft. One of the main perks of working with the rideshare platform is having the flexibility to set your own schedule. Only able to drive when the kids are in school? No problem. Retired from your career but looking to turn free time into earnings? Done. And with the company's Women+ Connect feature, women and nonbinary drivers can increase their likelihood of matching with women and nonbinary passengers — which can not only provide more peace of mind but also offers the opportunity to form new connections. Built in partnership with the nonprofit Human Rights Campaign and other collaborators, it's about making rides feel better for everyone involved. The feature is available in all U.S. cities where Lyft operates, and drivers are already speaking up about the impact it's had in helping them make money within their comfort zone. "With women, it's a whole different dynamic," said Georgie Oliver, who has been driving with Lyft since 2015. "We speak a common language." She added: "I get so many women who prefer to have a woman driver." Interested in signing up? All new drivers, regardless of gender, get a $400 bonus when they complete 40 rides in seven days. Rowan University student Allan Wylie has been blind since birth, but that hasn't stopped him from becoming a broadcaster for the Delaware Blue Coats basketball team. Wylie relies on his listening skills, along with information from the players and referees, to provide color commentary from the sidelines — and he has some advice for others like him. "Keep fighting. It's not going to be easy," he shared. "I'm not going to pretend it is easy. But if you show people what you're capable of, the disability is going to mean less and less to them."
