Over 3,000 FBS players have now officially entered the college football transfer portal. Visits for every Power Four program are lined up, and commitments are beginning to roll in. On3's Steve Wiltfong and Pete Nakos have the latest transfer portal intel. Arizona State QB Sam Leavitt After visiting Kentucky, sources told On3 that the Arizona State transfer quarterback was expected at Texas Tech, but travel delays caused issues. He'll also visit LSU, while Oregon and Miami remain other schools to monitor. Florida QB DJ Lagway and UNLV QB Anthony Colandrea Sources tell On3 that Lagway and Colandrea both visited Florida State. Colandrea arrived on Sunday morning, with Lagway arriving on Monday. Colandrea will be at Georgia Tech today, his reps tell On3. Alabama ATH Jaylen Mbakwe After visiting Georgia Tech yesterday, Georgia, Ole Miss, and Arizona State are working to get him in on a visit. Alabama OL Wilkin Formby Among the early schools to watch for the former Tide starting OT, sources have mentioned LSU, Kentucky, and Texas A&M. Ohio State RB James Peoples The former top-150 recruit is set to be in State College for a visit to Penn State on Monday, sources tell On3. USF WR Keshaun Singleton Now officially in the transfer portal, the expectation is that Auburn will get the first visit from Keshaun Singleton. The Tigers are well-positioned to close out this recruitment quickly. Alabama OL Micah DuBose The transfer offensive lineman is receiving interest from Florida, Vanderbilt, and Arkansas. Sources tell On3 that the Commodores are set to get the first visit. Mercer QB Braden Atkinson Among the early schools expressing interest in the Mercer transfer quarterback are Notre Dame, Baylor, Syracuse, Boston College, and Cal, his agent tells On3. On3's insider is on top of all things portal, and he broke out his crystal ball to make the latest predictions on where the top available players will land. From quarterback dominoes to top wide receivers, here are his latest transfer portal predictions. Virginia WR Trell Harris Oklahoma is very interested in Harris. The 6-foot, 200-pound receiver totaled 59 receptions for 847 yards and five touchdowns in 2025. He's considered one of the top receivers in the portal and at the top of the board for the Sooners. On3 confirmed that Harris was in Norman on Sunday. Prediction: Oklahoma Michigan State RB Makhi Frazier Michigan State transfer running back Makhi Frazier set an official visit to Auburn and arrived in Auburn on Sunday for a two-day visit. Frazier is the first transfer running back to visit Auburn this portal season. The Tigers likely are looking to add at least two at the position from the portal. Frazier is coming off a 2025 campaign in which he rushed for 520 yards and two touchdowns. Prediction: Auburn Penn State QB Ethan Grunkemeyer Penn State quarterback Ethan Grunkemyer started the final seven games of the 2025 season after senior Drew Allar broke his ankle in mid-October. He opted to test the waters and see what other opportunities might be out there as new coach Matt Campbell works to build out his roster. Sources have told On3 they expect Grunkemeyer to land at Virginia Tech. Prediction: Virginia Tech Auburn QB Jackson Arnold The former Oklahoma transfer quarterback was at UNLV over the weekend and the Rebels are shaping up to be in a good spot to land the Auburn transfer. Arnold opened the 2025 season as Auburn's starter and finished with 1,309 passing yards, six touchdowns, and two interceptions, plus 311 rushing yards and eight scores. Despite leading the team statistically, he was eventually replaced by Ashton Daniels and Deuce Knight as the season progressed. The NCAA Transfer Portal has only been open for roughly 72 hours, but commitments are already coming in fast as programs move quickly to secure priority targets. Some early pledges involve players following familiar coaches to new stops, while others have locked in decisions after a single visit or without ever stepping on campus. As the portal continues to churn and more names come off the board, here's a closer look at several of the top players who have already announced their next destination. QB Drew Mestemaker: Oklahoma State On3 Industry Transfer Portal Ranking: No. 5 Mestemaker is following head coach Eric Morris from North Texas to Oklahoma State, giving the Cowboys one of the top overall players in the portal. A former walk-on, he appeared in five games as a freshman before taking over as the starter this fall. The 6-foot-4, 210-pounder completed 70.2% of his passes and led the FBS with 4,129 passing yards in 12 games, throwing 31 touchdowns against seven interceptions. He was named the AAC Offensive Player of the Year. QB Brendan Sorsby: Texas Tech On3 Industry Transfer Portal Ranking: No. 8 The former Cincinnati QB will have a monster NIL deal in 2026, according to Pete Nakos. Sorsby is coming off a strong 2025 in which he threw for 2,800 yards, 27 touchdowns, and just five interceptions while completing 61.6% of his passes. The former Indiana transfer spent two seasons with the Hoosiers before Cincy, and emerged as one of the most sought-after quarterbacks on the portal market this cycle. Nakos revealed that Sorsby delivered the news in legendary fashion. RB Caleb Hawkins: Oklahoma State On3 Industry Transfer Portal Ranking: No. 9 Hawkins burst onto the scene as a true freshman, finishing the season as the national leader in rushing touchdowns with 25 while totaling 1,434 rushing yards, fifth most in the FBS. He added 32 receptions for 370 yards and four scores and earned True Freshman All-American honors from On3. Hawkins entered the portal rankings as the No. 2 running back available. WR Nick Marsh: Indiana On3 Industry Transfer Portal Ranking: No. 23 Marsh gives Indiana a proven Big Ten playmaker after two seasons at Michigan State. Despite inconsistent quarterback play, he produced 41 catches for 649 yards as a true freshman, setting school records, and followed it with 59 receptions for 662 yards and six touchdowns. The 6-foot-3 receiver ranks as the No. 3 wideout in the portal. TE Benjamin Brahmer: Penn State On3 Industry Transfer Portal Ranking: No. 24 Brahmer reunites with former Iowa State coach Matt Campbell at Penn State after earning All-Big 12 honors in 2025. He caught 37 passes for 446 yards and six touchdowns this past season and has been a consistent contributor throughout his career, including a freshman All-American nod in 2023. QB Rocco Becht: Iowa State On3 Industry Transfer Portal Ranking: No. 29 Becht leaves Ames after three seasons as the Cyclones' starter. In 2025, he threw for 2,584 yards with 16 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson now finds himself in a familiar spot, one that closely mirrors the crossroads Jalen Milroe faced a year ago. Only this time, the decision feels far more complicated. The math surrounding quarterback decisions continues to change by the day. What once felt straightforward now carries layers of financial and professional nuance. A quarterback with a clear first-round grade should almost always enter the NFL draft. Without that certainty, however, the calculus shifts quickly. Last year, Milroe was coming off an Alabama postseason loss and faced three options: return to Tuscaloosa, enter the transfer portal, or declare for the draft. Returning never felt realistic, and Milroe ultimately chose the NFL, accepting a Senior Bowl invitation before being selected 92nd overall by the Seattle Seahawks. That outcome now serves as a reference point as Simpson weighs his own future. Simpson and the Crimson Tide are coming off a 38-3 Rose Bowl loss to Indiana, and unlike many of his peers, Simpson has not announced a decision. Pete Nakos has the latest intel on where Simpson stands in his decision-making process. Around the country, several productive quarterbacks with similar choices to make have already tipped their hands. USC's Jayden Maiava, Duke's Darian Mensah, and South Carolina's LaNorris Sellers all announced returns to school, while others entered the transfer portal. Simpson has done neither. Part of that patience may be tied to ongoing feedback from the NFL. Simpson is viewed as one of the top quarterback prospects in this year's draft, ranking third on Mel Kiper's latest quarterback big board after a strong first season as Alabama's starter. He threw for 3,567 yards with 28 touchdowns and just five interceptions, leading the Crimson Tide to a College Football Playoff appearance and a 10-2 record. He also added two rushing touchdowns before suffering a cracked rib in the loss to Indiana. What happens next remains the key question. Should Simpson decide to stay in college but not at Alabama, there would be a healthy market for his services. Tennessee is actively seeking a portal quarterback. Oregon could enter the mix depending on Dante Moore's NFL decision. Miami may also look to add a transfer with Carson Beck's eligibility expiring. The financial stakes help explain the hesitation. First-round picks are locked into lucrative rookie deals, but once a quarterback slides into the second or third round, the money drops sharply. A late third-round selection earns roughly $1.2 million as a rookie, a figure many established Power Four starters can now exceed through NIL opportunities. In other words, a quarterback declaring for the draft needs to be fairly confident he will be selected among the first 40 picks or risk leaving money on the table.
