Tennessee landed Five-Star Plus+ recruit David Gabriel Georges on Wednesday night, marking the last of the current 32 Rivals Industry five-star recruits to commit. Gabriel Georges, with his multi-million dollar NIL package, immediately becomes the highest-paid running back recruit ever. After speaking with a range of sources across the CFB landscape, Pete Nakos compiled a list of 2027 recruits who are in line for top NIL paydays.
Five-Star Plus+ Tennessee RB commit David Gabriel Georges
One of the most-watched recruitments of the summer, David Gabriel Georges committed to Tennessee on Wednesday. He's expected to make $2M in Year 1, the most any running back recruit has ever earned. Ohio State's offer was competitive, but Tennessee's was bigger, backed by the program's ties to adidas and a willingness to fly Gabriel Georges' family in from Canada for games. As one coach told On3's Chris Low, Gabriel Georges is "the best I've ever seen at the running back position at that age."
Five-Star Plus+ Texas WR commit Easton Royal
Royal remains committed to Texas, but LSU and Florida are turning up the pressure, reportedly offering up to $1.5 million to flip him. That price would make Royal one of the highest-paid receiver recruits in recent memory. For comparison, 2026 five-stars TK Keys and Chris Henry Jr. are each making roughly $1 million as true freshmen this fall.
Gabriel Georges and Royal are just two pieces of a 2027 class that keeps rewriting the payday ceiling. Eight more commits are landing deals that rival, or even top, what it took to sign these two headliners. Pete Nakos has the full breakdown below.
