Take A Look At (IMNN) While It’s Still Early…

September 10, 2026

Dear Reader,

We’re now about 90 minutes from the opening bell, and IMUNON, Inc. (Nasdaq: IMNN) is firmly in the spotlight this morning.

The company’s recent clinical data, sub-6M float, and analyst targets reaching $25 have made (IMNN) the name we’re watching most closely.

For more than thirty years, the standard-of-care treatment for advanced ovarian cancer has remained essentially unchanged…

That's a fact worth sitting with.

Roughly 20,000 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer each year in the United States, and about 70% of those cases are already at an advanced stage when they're found.

The five-year survival rates for stage III and IV remain stark — 41% and 20%, respectively.

And despite decades of progress across oncology, frontline treatment for this disease has not produced a meaningful improvement in overall survival.

Until, potentially, now…

IMUNON, Inc. (Nasdaq: IMNN) is a clinical-stage biotechnology company with a lead candidate called IMNN-001 — a DNA-based IL-12 immunotherapy built on the company's proprietary TheraPlas® nanoparticle delivery platform — that just demonstrated something the ovarian cancer field hasn't seen before.

In the completed Phase 2 OVATION 2 trial, women treated with IMNN-001 plus standard chemotherapy showed a median 14.7-month improvement in overall survival compared to chemotherapy alone — 45.1 months versus 30.4.

For women who also received PARP inhibitor maintenance therapy, that gap widened to 24.2 months — 65.6 versus 41.4.

Those numbers are difficult to walk past…

IMUNON, Inc. (Nasdaq: IMNN) is topping our watchlist this morning—September 10, 2026.

But keep in mind, (Nasdaq: IMNN) has a float less than 6M listed as available to the public—with a float that small, the potential exists for big moves if demand begins to shift.

On the analyst side, the coverage suggests significant upside potential for IMNN while it’s currently sitting below $2.

Zacks Small-Cap Research has a $25-per-share valuation based on a probability-adjusted DCF model.

H.C. Wainwright maintains a $25 target (reiterated August 2026), Maxim Group holds a $10 target, and Alliance Global Partners has a $12 target.

The consensus rating from all covering analysts is bullish.

The Survival Data That Changed the Conversation

Here's what makes the OVATION 2 results so specific…

OVATION 2 was a randomized, controlled Phase 2 trial that enrolled 112 patients with newly diagnosed advanced ovarian cancer.

Patients were randomized 1:1 to receive either standard neoadjuvant and adjuvant chemotherapy alone, or chemotherapy plus IMNN-001 administered intraperitoneally.

The final data, reported March 25, 2026, showed a median overall survival of 45.1 months in the IMNN-001 arm versus 30.4 months in the control arm — a 14.7-month delta.

That is not a marginal signal.

In a disease where no frontline therapy has meaningfully moved overall survival in more than three decades, a nearly 15-month median improvement — with a favorable safety profile — is the kind of result that changes how clinical teams think about the entire approach.

And the data kept going…

Among patients who also received PARP inhibitors as maintenance, the overall survival delta jumped to 24.2 months — 65.6 months versus 41.4 in the control arm.

That suggests IMNN-001 may work synergistically with existing maintenance therapies, potentially opening a wider window for durable responses.

Now those OVATION 2 results are being put to the test in the company's ongoing Phase 3 OVATION 3 trial — a 500-patient, 1:1 randomized, controlled study with overall survival as the primary endpoint.

And enrollment is running ahead of schedule.

The current enrollment rate of approximately 0.5 patients per site per month meaningfully exceeds the planned assumption of 0.3 — which itself was already set at a premium to historical industry benchmarks.

More than 70% of sites are meeting or exceeding their targets.

The trial went from protocol submission to site activation in about six months, and from approval to first patient randomized in roughly two months — a third of the external industry benchmark.

That kind of momentum from clinical teams is itself a signal…

What the MRD Data Adds to the Picture

Separately from OVATION 3, IMUNON, Inc. (Nasdaq: IMNN) has been running a Phase 2 minimal residual disease study — conducted through a partnership with the Break Through Cancer Foundation and led by researchers at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center.

The preliminary results released July 21, 2026, showed a clear separation between the IMNN-001 arm and the control across multiple endpoints.

MRD-positive rate: 44% versus 67% in the control.

Circulating tumor DNA clearance: 87.5% versus 62.5%.

Patients achieving no evidence of disease following frontline therapy: 100% versus 56%.

Those are preliminary numbers from a small dataset — nine patients per arm had reached the assessment point — but the directional consistency across all three measures reinforces the underlying mechanism.

This study is being conducted through the Break Through Cancer Targeting Minimal Residual Disease in Ovarian Cancer TeamLab — a multi-institutional collaboration that includes some of the country's leading cancer research centers.

IMNN-001 uses the TheraPlas® delivery system to produce sustained, localized IL-12 expression directly at the tumor site…

That targeted approach allows the compound to activate a potent immune response — stimulating T-cell and natural killer cell activity — without the systemic toxicity that has historically blocked IL-12 development.

Across all clinical trials to date, IMNN-001 has shown no episodes of cytokine release syndrome, no systemic toxicities, and no serious immune-related adverse events.

That safety profile was further validated in June 2026, when the independent Data Monitoring Committee recommended continuation of OVATION 3 without modification.

As CEO Stacy Lindborg, Ph.D., put it in the Q2 2026 update: "Enrollment in our pivotal Phase 3 OVATION 3 study continues to exceed our planning assumptions, reflecting the compelling survival data generated in OVATION 2, our highly favorable safety profile, and growing confidence among investigators in IMNN-001's potential to improve outcomes for women with newly diagnosed advanced ovarian cancer."

Where This Heads From Here

The ovarian cancer therapeutics market is valued at an estimated $4.65B in 2026 and projected to reach $7.82B by 2034, per Fortune Business Insights, growing at a 6.71% CAGR.

Within that, the immunotherapy segment is anticipated to grow at 30.79% annually over the forecast period — the fastest-growing category in the entire space.

IMUNON, Inc. (Nasdaq: IMNN) sits directly in that growth lane…

The company recently secured a $10M financing package — structured with non-convertible preferred shares and secured promissory notes, with no warrants attached — to support continued OVATION 3 enrollment.

That's the kind of disciplined capital structure that preserves shareholder flexibility during a critical development phase.

The OVATION 3 trial is designed to enroll 500 patients, randomized 1:1, with overall survival as the primary endpoint.

Two pre-planned interim analyses could allow for an accelerated BLA filing if the primary endpoint reaches statistical significance early — meaning the path from data to potential approval could be shorter than a typical Phase 3 timeline.

Enrollment completion is projected for Q2 2029.

The trial also enrolls an all-comers population — including both homologous recombination-deficient and homologous recombination-proficient patients — which broadens the potential addressable population if IMNN-001 reaches approval.

And there's a near-term event that could bring fresh attention to (IMNN)…

The company is hosting an R&D Day on September 23, 2026, in New York City, featuring presentations from leading oncology experts including Dr. Amir Jazaeri of MD Anderson and Dr. Premal Thaker of Washington University — plus a conversation with an OVATION 1 clinical trial participant sharing her firsthand experience. Register for the webcast here.

That kind of event, with this kind of data backdrop, is the sort of thing that puts a name on the radar for anyone watching the oncology immunotherapy space…

The case for watching (IMNN) right now comes down to a rare alignment: a first-in-class immunotherapy with Phase 2 survival data that could reshape frontline ovarian cancer treatment, a Phase 3 trial enrolling faster than expected, independent data from a second study reinforcing the mechanism, and a share range that sits well below the per-share targets from every analyst covering the name.

This is a company building toward a potential inflection point, and the R&D Day on September 23 could be the next chapter.

We have all eyes on (IMNN) this morning.

Consider taking a look at (IMNN) while it’s still early. Also, keep an eye out for my next update, it could be coming very shortly.
