Andy Staples has a new College Football Playoff bracket out, and this week's edition comes with plenty of movement after another full slate of games across the country. The three teams below only tell part of the story.
1. Texas
The Longhorns made their share of mistakes, but aided by Arch Manning's first real Heisman moment, they eventually found their footing against Ohio State. Beating another likely playoff team is a valuable chip to carry into an SEC slate that isn't getting any easier.
5. LSU
The Tigers shook off a sluggish start before pulling away for a comfortable win over Louisiana Tech. Sam Leavitt piled up rushing touchdowns despite tossing three interceptions, an issue he'll need to clean up before a trip to Oxford on Saturday.
12. Boise State
Oregon's loss didn't do the Broncos any favors, but Boise State kept its G5 hopes alive anyway, closing out a lopsided win over Memphis with a decisive scoring run. FCS South Dakota stands between Boise State and a road trip to face defending MAC champion Western Michigan.
Staples has nine more teams penciled into the field, and one squad that could have lost over the weekend somehow clawed its way in. He explains that surprising addition and lays out the full bracket below.
