September 17th

Greetings, Friend!

Here's a past champ that's back on our radar.

Brought into focus after closing at $2.80 on July 1st, it shot to a high of $4.05 one day later.

That $1.00+ move resulted in a short term surge of approx. 44%.

But here's what we're focusing on now...

Most turnarounds announce themselves loudly.

Cemtrex, Inc. (Nasdaq: CETX) has taken the quieter route, rebuilding itself one acquisition and one quarter at a time.

The latest chapter arrived in the company’s fiscal third quarter results, and the numbers tell a story worth following.

Revenue for the quarter rose 9% year over year to $18.4Mn. At the same time, the consolidated operating loss narrowed to $1.2Mn from $2.2Mn one quarter earlier. Operating cash flow turned positive at $0.2Mn, a sharp change from the cash burn of the first half.

The clearest shift came inside Security.

According to the company’s August 2026 corporate presentation, the Vicon segment cut its operating loss from $3.0Mn in the first quarter to just $0.3Mn in the third, while gross margin climbed to 49%.

Then there’s the newcomer.

The Aerospace & Defense segment, created only this year, generated $2.2Mn of revenue, up 79% sequentially, with $1.0Mn of segment operating income and an 87% gross margin, per the Q3 release.

Zoom out and the arc gets longer.

Annual revenue grew from $39.7Mn in fiscal 2021 to $76.5Mn in fiscal 2025, and shareholders’ equity reached $32.0Mn at June 30, 2026, up from $8.7Mn nine months earlier, based on the corporate presentation.

Behind The Scenes: What The CEO Told The Market

The Q3 release read less like a scorecard and more like a progress memo.

CETX Chairman and CEO Saagar Govil opened by saying the quarter “showed measurable progress on each of the operational priorities we laid out earlier this year.

He pointed to Security as “the clearest evidence of execution this quarter” and noted that “operating cash flow turned positive during the quarter.

His closing line set the tone: “The trajectory of the consolidated business is materially better than it was six months ago.

The Pivot: From Tech Holding Company To Industrial Technology Platform

Cemtrex now describes itself as operating “with the rigor of an industrial holding company and the imagination of a technology firm.

Fiscal 2026 is where that framing became real, as management leaned on disciplined M&A aimed at businesses with attractive gross margins, repeatable revenue, and durable growth tailwinds.

In January, the company closed on Invocon, a Texas engineering firm with nearly four decades of instrumentation work spanning Space Shuttle and International Space Station systems and the Missile Defense Agency.

February brought Richland Industries and a Southeast footprint.

In July, Cemtrex added Plant Engineering Services of Fort Wayne, Indiana, which is expected to contribute approximately $4Mn to $5Mn in revenue over the next twelve months.

A fourth acquisition sits under letter of intent, targeted for a September quarter close.

About Cemtrex, Inc.

Headquartered in Hauppauge, New York, with roughly 300 employees, Cemtrex runs three segments.

Security, through Vicon, delivers enterprise video surveillance to government, education, healthcare, and industrial customers.

Its Valerus platform unifies video, audio, alarms, access control, license plate recognition, and weapon and vape detection.

Industrial Services, led by AIS and now Richland and Plant Engineering Services, provides rigging, millwrighting, piping, electrical, welding, and press system engineering.

Aerospace & Defense, through Invocon, designs mission-critical instrumentation, wireless sensing, and telemetry systems.

7 Potential Catalysts Putting (Nasdaq: CETX) On Our Radar

#1. Defense Segment Already Contributing Operating Income From Year One.

In its first year under ownership, the Invocon-led unit gave CETX $0.6Mn of segment operating income through three quarters, per the corporate presentation.

#2. U.S. Navy Selection Opens a Door Into Mine Warfare.

A NAVSEA SBIR Phase I selection places CETX subsidiary Invocon inside a program focused on modular mine warfare components.

#3. Corrections Orders Point to Full-Platform Security Deployments.

Back-to-back Vicon orders of approximately $2Mn in the U.K. and $900K in the U.S. show CETX earning end-to-end facility installations.

#4. Security Losses Narrowing Quarter After Quarter.

A drop in segment operating loss from $3.0Mn to $0.3Mn suggests CETX’s cost work at Vicon is taking hold, based on the corporate presentation.

#5. Active Acquisition Pipeline With a Fourth Deal Pending.

With another Industrial Services target under letter of intent, CETX continues to widen its geographic reach, according to the Q3 release.

#6. A Surveillance Market Forecast to Reach $88.06Bn by 2031.

MarketsandMarkets projects a 7.8% CAGR for global video surveillance, a backdrop with potential to support demand for CETX’s Vicon platform.

#7. Compact Share Count Points to a Low Float Profile.

With approximately 1.72Mn shares in its float according to Yahoo Finance, CETX fits as a low float idea where the potential for heightened volatility may be significant.

Closing Thoughts

Cemtrex, Inc. (Nasdaq: CETX) has spent the past year reshaping what it is.

The company now pairs a leaner security business with an expanding industrial services base and a defense unit that is already contributing.

Revenue is growing, losses are shrinking, and management keeps adding pieces with a clear capital allocation playbook.

Coverage is now officially underway again on Cemtrex, Inc. (Nasdaq: CETX).
