Survey Crews To Defense Platforms: Why (Nasdaq: ZENA) Is All Over Our Radar

October 7th

Greetings Readers,

Picture a surveyor in rural Georgia, tripod on his shoulder, walking a solar site one stake at a time.

Now picture a drone covering the same ground before lunch.

That gap, between how field work has always been done and how it could be done, is the story ZenaTech, Inc. (Nasdaq: ZENA) has been building one acquisition at a time.

And a new chapter arrived last week. ZenaTech’s second-quarter results filed with the SEC showed revenue of C$9.3Mn, up 316% from C$2.2Mn a year earlier. First-half revenue reached C$17.7Mn, a 425% jump.

Set that beside the company’s full-year 2025 revenue of C$12.9Mn, and the math gets hard to ignore. Six months of 2026 already outran all of last year.

It was also the seventh consecutive quarter of sequential growth. Quarterly revenue has climbed from roughly C$700K in Q4 2024 to C$9.3Mn, a more than 13x expansion, as Pulse 2.0 summarized from the release.

The balance sheet grew right alongside it. Total assets rose 50% to C$149.2Mn as of June 30th, while cash and marketable securities reached C$34.6Mn, up from C$15.1Mn at year-end.

Behind the Scenes: Inside the Q2 Release

When ZenaTech CEO Dr. Shaun Passley walked through the quarter, his focus was not one product. It was the engine.

Drone as a Service produced C$8.1Mn of the C$9.3Mn total, and four DaaS businesses joined the platform, including Australia’s North Group and Florida’s Green Earth Powerwashing franchise network.

Passley tied the stronger balance sheet to what comes next, saying it provides “the flexibility to continue funding both organic growth” and disciplined deals, according to the company’s Q2 announcement.

Signed offers across the U.S., Canada, and Australia are expected to add approximately C$40Mn in revenue during the first 12 months after closing, if completed.

About ZenaTech, Inc.

ZenaTech runs three connected businesses.

Its ZenaDrone subsidiary designs and manufactures AI-powered drones, including the ZenaDrone 1000 for ISR and cargo, the IQ Nano for indoor inventory, the IQ Square for inspections and the IQ Quad for land surveying.

Its Drone as a Service arm acquires established survey and inspection firms, then layers drone technology onto their existing customers.

Its Enterprise SaaS division holds 13 software brands being consolidated under the Zoo Office™ platform.

The DaaS model lets farmers, energy companies and government departments pay for a complete drone solution as a service rather than owning the hardware, as ZenaTech outlined when it launched the strategy.

The DaaS map keeps widening. The 29th acquisition, Merritt Paul Land Surveying of Franklin, Georgia, brought licenses in 17 states plus customers in utility-scale solar and rail infrastructure.

The Pivot: From Survey Crews to Defense Platforms

Here is where the story turns.

ZenaTech is moving its drone portfolio into defense. ZenaDrone began scheduling U.S. government defense demonstrations in July, starting with the IQ Nano.

Two months later, the company was named a qualified supplier under Canada’s Defence Drone Initiative Marketplace, creating a pathway to compete for future Canadian Armed Forces and Coast Guard requirements.

That status is not a contract a-ward, but it is a door.

Work continues on the ZenaDrone 2000 heavy-lift interceptor and the low-cost Interceptor P-1, which began flight testing near Mesa.

In September, ZenaDrone also pushed its quantum navigation system for GPS-denied missions into testing.

Below the waterline, the IQ Aqua mine-detection drone has moved into U.S. field testing in Florida, and a Ukraine-based operation now being established will focus on counter-UAS and interceptor development.

6 Potential Catalysts Putting (Nasdaq: ZENA) On Our Radar

#1. Seven Consecutive Quarters Of Sequential Revenue Growth. Reported revenue for (ZENA) has climbed every quarter since Q4 2024, per its Q2 2026 filing.

#2. A C$40Mn Acquisition Pipeline Already Under Signed Offer. If completed, these deals could potentially add approximately C$40Mn in first-year revenue to the DaaS segment at (ZENA).

#3. Qualified Defense Supplier Status Now Established In Canada. The DDI Marketplace selection gives (ZENA) a potential path to compete for future Canadian military drone requirements.

#4. Blue UAS Certification Progress Across Three Drone Platforms. Certification could potentially open U.S. military procurement eligibility for drones that (ZENA) continues to advance through the process.

#5. Counter-Drone Prototypes Moving Into Real Flight Testing. Interceptor P-1 testing places (ZENA) inside a counter-drone market the company sizes at $20Bn.

#6. Two Research Firms Covering With Positive Ratings. Maxim Group and Litchfield Hills both rate (ZENA) positively, with targets of $5 and $4, according to published consensus data.

Closing Thoughts

ZenaTech, Inc. (Nasdaq: ZENA) is still spending heavily to build this platform, and it reported a C$22.5Mn net loss for Q2 as it funded expansion and R&D. That is the tension to watch.

Yet the filings show a clear pattern: recurring service revenue from acquired businesses, a widening global footprint, and a defense pipeline moving from drawing board to flight test.

If you track AI autonomy and defense drones, ZENA belongs on your radar, and the next quarterly update is a key checkpoint.

We’re kicking-off coverage on ZenaTech, Inc. (Nasdaq: ZENA).

Be on the lookout for updates coming soon. Talk again shortly.

Sincerely,

Kai Parker
