October 20th

Greetings, Friend!

The lab work starts in less than two weeks.

Researchers at Virginia Commonwealth University are slated to begin a one-year program on November 1st to build and test SKYMRAM, a skyrmion-based magnetic memory.

Rocket One Inc. (Nasdaq: RKTO) is sponsoring the work, and it hopes the technology could one day power AI chips, satellites, and defense hardware.

The key milestone sounds simple. The team wants to show that SKYMRAM's soft magnetic layer can switch on command. VCU professor Jayasimha Atulasimha will lead the project, with Northwestern University supporting thin-film growth and materials work.

Here's the twist. Six months ago, this company wasn't in the chip business at all.

It operated as Hoth Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biotech based in Hoboken, New Jersey. Then in May, management announced plans to restructure as Rocket One after its new subsidiary signed two exclusive license agreements with VCU's intellectual property foundation covering nanomagnetic and spintronic computing.

The target was clear: the power and efficiency limits now squeezing AI infrastructure.

The pace never slowed. By late July, Rocket One had signed a nonexclusive patent license with NASA covering the Affordable Vehicle Avionics System. The company plans to use it as the base for an AI-powered platform for spacecraft mission planning and avionics modeling.

Military & Aerospace Electronics reported that intended users include satellite operators, launch providers, and defense contractors.

Then came the drones.

In June, Rocket One paid $210K in cash for drone light show software and technologies from Skystage.

By August, that engine had become Swarm Stage AI, a drone-swarm threat-emulation platform made available to U.S. defense organizations for counter-drone training and testing. Its library starts with more than 2,500 field-tested formations.

Two more pieces landed this fall.

The company agreed to acquire 100% of Tracer Drone Technologies, a revenue-generating New Jersey drone provider.

Weeks later, it signed a 12-month evaluation patent license with the Department of the Air Force for technology designed to capture hostile drones and isolate their communications. That license covers evaluation rights only and is not a procurement a-ward.

Behind The Headlines: What Management Is Saying

There was no splashy earnings call this quarter. Instead, RKTO CEO Robb Knie has laid out his thinking release by release, and the message stays consistent: build a portfolio that spans chips, space software, and drone defense.

Explaining the Tracer deal, Knie said he expects it to give Rocket One "a revenue-generating foundation in the drone market."

Discussing Swarm Stage AI, he told Army Technology that mass drone attacks are rapidly reshaping the modern battlefield.

And for the VCU program, he called the agreement "a concrete development path for SKYMRAM."

Knie has also built out the bench. Rocket One added former NASA astronaut and ISS commander Shane Kimbrough to its Space Advisory Board and appointed Major General Malcolm B. Frost (Ret.) to its Space and Defense Advisory Board.

The company also named Dr. Supriyo Bandyopadhyay, whose research forms the basis of its licensed nanomagnetic architecture, as Lead Technical Advisor.

The Latest Shift: From Chip Lab To Flight Line

Rocket One's newest move may matter most.

Until now, the company held licenses and development programs, and its website notes its technologies are not yet commercial products.

Tracer changes that equation. It brings drone hardware, software, training, maintenance and managed services to public safety and enterprise customers, and it is expected to operate as a wholly owned subsidiary upon closing.

The Air Force license fits the same lane.

Rocket One plans to assess testing requirements and integration with its counter-UAS initiatives during the evaluation period, with potential to complement Swarm Stage AI.

Put together, the strategy reads like this: chips for the long game, with software and drones as nearer-term channels.

About Rocket One Inc.

Rocket One Inc. is a Hoboken-based technology company focused on AI semiconductor infrastructure, defense systems, and space technologies.

Beginning in the second quarter of 2026, it reported two segments: AI Infrastructure and Technologies, and a legacy Biopharmaceutical segment.

AI semiconductors. The core portfolio includes a non-volatile nanomagnetic matrix multiplier designed as a hardware accelerator for machine learning, plus skyrmion-based spintronic memory. Both target AI's toughest bottlenecks: power use, cooling, memory movement, and latency. Rocket One was also accepted into the AMD AI Developer Program to support early modeling and simulation of these designs.

Defense and counter-UAS. Swarm Stage AI emulates coordinated drone attacks so counter-drone systems and crews can train against them. Tracer adds an operating sales, service, and training channel across public safety and enterprise markets.

Space systems. The NASA AVA license anchors a planned AI software platform for spacecraft engineering, simulation, and mission readiness.

Legacy pipeline and balance sheet. Through subsidiary Hoth Therapeutics LLC, Rocket One still holds programs including HT-001, HT-KIT, HT-VA and HT-ALZ. The same Form 10-Q shows cash and equivalents of approximately $7.89Mn at June 30th, 2026. Management believes current cash can fund operations for at least 12 months, while noting that additional capital will be needed.

6 Potential Catalysts Putting (Nasdaq: RKTO) At The Top Of Our Watchlist

#1. SKYMRAM Lab Program Kicks Off In Less Than Two Weeks. The VCU program begins November 1st and targets a switching milestone that could give RKTO its first device-level proof point for this memory technology.

#2. Revenue-Generating Drone Business Joins The Portfolio. The Tracer agreement adds drone sales, training, maintenance and managed services, potentially giving RKTO its first operating revenue stream.

#3. Air Force License Adds A Patented Drone-Capture Method. The evaluation license lets RKTO test a physical-capture and communications-isolation approach that could potentially pair with Swarm Stage AI.

#4. Counter-Drone Spending Projected To More Than Quadruple By 2031. MarketsandMarkets projects the C-UAS market could climb from $6.64Bn in 2025 to $29.70Bn by 2031, a backdrop where RKTO now holds two counter-drone assets.

#5. NASA Avionics License Anchors A Space Software Roadmap. The AVA agreement gives RKTO rights to develop and commercialize software for space-vehicle avionics modeling, simulation and mission planning.

#6. A Reported Float Of Fewer Than 25Mn Shares. Yahoo Finance lists the float of RKTO at approx. 24.34Mn shares, framing it as a low float idea where the potential for heightened volatility may be significant.

The Bottom Line

Rocket One Inc. (Nasdaq: RKTO) is still early.

Its chip technologies are not commercial products yet, and the company relies on outside capital to fund development.

Still, in about five months, management has assembled licensed AI semiconductor IP, a NASA software license, a drone-swarm emulation platform, an Air Force evaluation license, and a revenue-generating drone business.

The next checkpoints are clear: SKYMRAM lab work starting November 1st, progress on the Tracer deal, and the December 17th annual meeting.

For readers tracking AI hardware, space infrastructure, and counter-drone defense, Rocket One Inc. is a name worth keeping on your radar and reviewing soon.
